What is the Infiniti EX37?

The first question that crossed my mind when I first laid eyes on it is, what exactly is the Infiniti EX37? While Infiniti markets it as an SUV, they cleverly designed it to resemble a coupe, featuring a long front end and a sloping roof. Does this design make you want to rush to the showroom to buy this vehicle, which is reminiscent of a smaller X6? Not quite. Let's delve deeper into what this car has to offer, as it isn't bad at all.

Car Design

Upon first glance

Beauty is subjective and depends on the taste of its creator, and as for the EX37, I'm not sure what that taste is. It's not particularly striking, yet it's not unattractive either. There’s nothing that sets it apart from other Infiniti models. Considering they aimed to create a compact vehicle that resembles a coupe, it doesn't quite feel small, but your perspective may change once you step inside.

Interior

Inside Infiniti EX37

The first thing you'll notice when you open the door is how flimsy it feels. If it were made of tin, it might have been sturdier. That’s not reassuring when you're buying a car that is supposed to be luxurious.

Once inside, you'll be surprised by how cramped it feels. It would have been better if they shortened the front section to provide some extra space. The fear of tight spaces is exacerbated by the lack of storage pockets for your small items. All you get are two cup holders that can turn into bottle holders with a push of a button, a flat center console, and a very small glove compartment that barely fits the car's manual.

Infiniti attempted to create a high-quality interior, and you can see that. Nothing feels cheap, but you won't compare it to the interiors of luxury hotels. Our model featured brown leather with black accents on the dashboard and steering wheel, and while this combination may not appeal to everyone, I personally liked it.

Features

Our vehicle came with an array of features typical of luxury cars, such as:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Excellent navigation system
  • Bose sound system
  • Driving assistance features
  • Parking sensors and a 360-degree camera

Driving Experience

Returning to the question, what exactly is this vehicle? It’s certainly not an SUV, nor is it a sedan. Most buyers of this car won’t be aiming for off-road adventures. They might appreciate its elevated stance for better visibility and its all-wheel-drive system in case they need to drive on less-than-ideal roads. However, the vehicle's height isn't significantly better than that of a sedan. While the elevated seating helps, it still doesn’t outperform a traditional sedan in this regard. Nonetheless, the all-wheel drive and its low profile give it handling comparable to sedans, which is a positive aspect. The driving experience was pleasant, and you won't feel the bumps in the road, which I appreciated.

Conclusion

The Infiniti EX37 is like the quirky student in a classroom. Polite but not outstanding. It has power but lacks finesse. Its family is very wealthy. I wish I could conclude this report by stating that the car has its drawbacks but is overall good.

Unfortunately, I cannot convince you of that when the car starts at a price of 168 thousand dirhams. That price is unreasonable for a car like this. Although the EX37 competes with vehicles such as the BMW X1 3.5 and is still cheaper than it, it does not justify its high price tag. Therefore, I feel it has effectively buried itself.
