Jaguar F-Pace: Jaguar's First SUV
Car Launch
Jaguar Land Rover hosted a very special event for the launch of its first SUV, the F-Pace. The event took place in Montenegro and was exclusively for media representatives. A total of 170 journalists from around the world attended, with Jaguar reserving the entire month of April for this event. Among the attendees were 30 journalists from the Middle East, including our team.
Car Design
Jaguar took a bold step with the F-Pace. Recognizing the popularity of crossovers, they decided to enter this market. Maserati recently joined this segment with the Levante, and we anticipate many other brands will follow suit.
You might wonder why Jaguar entered this market, given its association with Land Rover. The reason is their intention to compete with vehicles like the Porsche Macan, BMW X3, and Audi Q5. Since Land Rover does not compete in this segment, Jaguar's decision to smartly intervene makes sense.
Specifications of the Jaguar F-Pace
The Jaguar F-Pace incorporates design elements from its sedan models, such as the XE and XF. The front and rear designs clearly signal its Jaguar lineage, yet the F-Pace appears more aggressive and, of course, taller. It is not designed to resemble an off-road vehicle, which is a positive aspect, as it is intended for regular roads and streets. Inside, it maintains the luxurious feel typical of Jaguar vehicles, which anyone who has driven a Jaguar will recognize.
Engine Performance
The Jaguar F-Pace is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with an 8-speed ZF transmission. Diesel models are also available, but they will not be offered in this region. There are two engine variants:
- The first variant produces 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
- The second, more powerful variant generates 380 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque.
This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
