The Jetour brand was tasked with making premium crossovers/SUVs for multiple global markets, including its home market of China, along with others such as the Middle East, select South-East Asian nations, and several South American countries.
Among the five models that are currently available for customers to buy in the UAE, the Jetour Dashing is one of the latest. It became the most expensive Jetour car when it was launched in the Emirates on March 16, 2023. Of course, that title has since been taken over by the newer Jetour T2.

Design
Starting with the front fascia of the Jetour Dashing, there are several striking features vying for your attention. The hood is relatively flat and unassuming but does get a few character lines drawn across its length. A large ‘JETOUR’ branding sits proudly between a pair of sleek LEDs, while underneath these neat design cues lies a mishmash of styling choices.
The front grille is a huge single unit and has a lot of open elements – it almost resembles an open mouth but with fine slits. The designers were likely going for an aggressive and bold front end that vehemently refused to buck under the pressures of contemporary design trends. However, tucked nicely into the corners is a set of vertically-aligned LED headlights.
Those with sharp eyes will immediately notice the flush door handles on the sides of the Dashing. Other dashing design cues here consist of the sharply-raked windowline finished in chrome and the gently bulging rear haunches. Even sportier is the upswept design of the quad exhaust tailpipes, rear diffusers, and bumper. At the top is a well-designed and sharp rear spoiler, beneath which lies chic LED taillights with boomerang-shaped extremities. Interior
The interior of the Jetour Dashing looks incredibly polished and upmarket. The two-spoke steering wheel has an air of sophistication to it, while there’s a blend of different materials and textures found all over. This keeps the design interesting, albeit a bit busy. There’s a distinct lack of physical buttons on the dash or center console – almost everything is controlled through the large 15.6-inch touchscreen.
There’s also no digital instrument cluster in the traditional sense. Instead, the Dashing gets a thin strip of screen behind the steering wheel, along with a sizeable head-up display. The column-type gear selector is easy to use and the soft leather upholstery makes for a pleasant and comfortable cabin. The front seats are large and sporty due to their single-shell design, but the massive glass roof lets in enough light to keep claustrophobia at bay.
The large head cushions add to the comfort, while small LED screens found in each door display external conditions like temperature and air quality. Other useful features in the Jetour Dashing include the 40-watt wireless charger, an 8-speaker Sony surround-sound system, LED ambient lighting, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control with in-built air purification & perfume systems, a cooled storage compartment, and climate-controlled front seats with memory function.
However, the small rear windows and sloping roofline can lead to taller passengers feeling a bit hemmed in. The Jetour Dashing is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine that’s good for 188 hp and 275 Nm. The only transmission available in the UAE at the moment is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic which drives the front wheels. The Jetour Dashing has a top speed of 180 km/h and uses independent suspension on all four corners.
Dimensions
It might be a compact crossover, but the Jetour Dashing is 4,590 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. Those are impressive numbers for a compact crossover. That said, the aggressive design means that the Dashing’s ground clearance is just 160 mm.
