The Design Transformation at Kia Motors
Kia Motors has significantly improved its design since the appointment of Peter Schreyer, the former designer at Audi. Consistently, Kia and Hyundai's designs have impressed us. This was further validated by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), which awarded Kia with International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) in the transportation category for two vehicles: the Kia GT4 Stinger prototype and the 2014 Kia Soul. The Stinger received a silver award, while the Soul was honored with a bronze. Additionally, Kia earned a bronze award in 2012 for the Kia Rio.

The IDEA award is a globally recognized accolade that honors outstanding design across various categories, including automotive and transportation, design strategy, entertainment technology, environments, and more. The 2014 event featured 2,000 participants from 39 countries, where each entry was assessed based on the following objective criteria:

The Soul is a successful crossover that has garnered awards from Red Dot and iF for its innovative design in the urban passenger vehicle segment. Kia hopes to continue impressing consumers with its designs.
