Introduction
The Lamborghini Urus made its debut as a concept car at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012, marking the brand's entry into the SUV market. By 2015, Lamborghini confirmed that the Urus would enter production, and manufacturing began in the spring of the current year.
Official Statements
Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Lamborghini, stated:
"Valuable information will be revealed in the coming weeks, but it is confirmed that the car will be named Urus, with production starting in April. The initial units will be prototypes and not shared with the public. This is a critical period for us, especially since 2017 will be very important for the company."
Specifications and Updates
According to former Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the vehicle will be equipped with a turbocharged V8 engine. Current CEO Domenicali has confirmed that one of the versions will feature hybrid configurations.
