Transitioning from RS to SVR Badges
If you recently purchased a Jaguar with the RS badge, hold onto it tightly, as this will be the last of its kind. Jaguar and Land Rover are making significant changes to their performance vehicles, introducing the new SVR badge.
This new badge signifies that the vehicle belongs to Jaguar and Land Rover's Special Vehicles Operations, designed to compete with its German rivals, AMG and M.
First Vehicle Under the SVR Badge
The first vehicle to debut under the SVR badge is the Range Rover Sport SVR, which has been tested on the Nürburgring circuit. It features a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine producing 550 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The suspension has also been enhanced to make it a strong competitor against the Mercedes ML 63 AMG and the BMW X6M.
New Models Under the SVR Badge
Jaguar F-Type Project 7
The second model is the Jaguar F-Type Project 7, equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine that delivers 575 horsepower. The XF is also expected to adopt the SVR badge in the near future.
Continuing the R Badge
However, the introduction of the SVR badge does not mean the end for the R badge, which is still designated for mid-performance enhancements.
