Maserati and Bianchet, the Neuchâtel-based Swiss maison of haute horlogerie, have announced a special collaboration rooted in a shared philosophy: a passion for beauty, mechanical rigor, and artisan tradition. To celebrate the centenary of the iconic Trident emblem—inspired by Bologna’s Fountain of Neptune—the two brands present the UltraFino Maserati. This Flying Tourbillon watch is limited to a collection of 100 one-of-a-kind timepieces, officially unveiled at the Watches and Wonders 2026 trade fair in Geneva.
The Convergence of Maserati and Bianchet Philosophies
Maserati and Bianchet represent the natural union of two trajectories that have long run in parallel. Founded in Bologna in 1914, Maserati translates racing passion into cars that embody performance and Italian style. The Nettuno V6 engine, featuring an innovative pre-chamber combustion system from Formula 1 technology, epitomizes the brand's vision of extreme performance.
Bianchet, rooted in the cradle of Swiss haute horlogerie, follows a similarly rigorous vision. Every Bianchet timepiece is designed according to the principles of the Golden Ratio, ensuring beauty and proportion are intrinsic qualities. In this philosophy, function follows form, and the movement architecture satisfies the eye as much as the engineering requirements. The UltraFino Maserati serves as the perfect meeting point for these two distinct worlds.

Maserati MCPURA and UltraFino: A Shared Engineering Soul
UltraFino Maserati draws direct design inspiration from the Maserati MCPURA, the brand's latest supercar unveiled at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Maserati MCPURA features impressive specifications:
- Engine: 630-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre Nettuno V6.
- Chassis: Advanced carbon-fibre monocoque.
- Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds.
- Construction: Lightweight materials with hand-finishing at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant.
Design Parallels and Materials
UltraFino Maserati mirrors the supercar's architecture with deliberate precision. The open-worked skeleton dial takes cues from the Maserati MCPURA birdcage-design wheels, featuring an iconic triple split-spoke design that forms a trident motif.
The AI Aqua Rainbow finish, which debuted on the MCPURA via the Maserati Fuoriserie Collezione Futura programme, is used on the watch dial and rubber seam of the case. Furthermore, the grade 5 titanium bridges, high-density carbon case, and flying tourbillon cage evoke the torsional stiffness and beating heart of the Nettuno engine.

Shock Resistance and Durability
UltraFino Maserati addresses the challenges of mechanical shock by integrating dedicated absorbing solutions at both the balance wheel and structural levels. This allows the movement to withstand forces of 5,000 G, drawing a direct parallel with the Maserati MCPURA suspension engineering and electronic traction management.
The Engineering Mastery of the Bianchet UT01 Calibre
Bianchet UT01 calibre is the heart of the UltraFino Maserati. This movement is entirely finished by hand, featuring sand-blasting, satin-brushing, and hand-bevelling on every bridge. Key engineering highlights include:
- Profile Thickness: An incredibly thin 3.85 mm.
- Mainspring Barrel: Suspended design to eliminate the traditional ratchet wheel and save vertical space.
- Power Reserve: 60 hours.
- Tourbillon Cage: 2.66-mm thin housing a large screw balance wheel beating at 3 Hz.
- Component Count: 225 components and 29 jewels.
UltraFino Maserati Technical Specifications
UltraFino Maserati delivers high-performance metrics within a sophisticated 9.9 mm total case height. The construction details include:
- Case Material: High-density carbon fibre with vulcanised rubber.
- Protection: Integrated carbon crown-guards for the hand-finished crown.
- Crystals: Glare-proof sapphire crystal on both the bezel and case-back.
- Water Resistance: Guaranteed up to 5 ATM.
- Weight: 36 g (excluding the strap).
- Strap Options: Integrated carbon-fibre bracelet or a natural vulcanised rubber strap with a titanium folding clasp.
Exclusivity and the Centenary Celebration
UltraFino Maserati is limited to only 100 pieces, echoing the centenary of the Maserati Trident. Each piece is individually numbered and crafted at the Bianchet atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Cristiano Fiorio, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer, noted that the watch transforms Maserati's sporting DNA into a sophisticated form of elegance. Rodolfo Festa Bianchet, Founder and CEO of Bianchet, emphasized that the collaboration represents two Maisons that refuse to compromise on performance or beauty.
To celebrate the debut of the UltraFino Maserati at Watches and Wonders 2026, invited guests will participate in an exclusive MCPURA driving experience in Geneva, offering a unique opportunity to experience the creative dialogue between automotive and horological excellence.
