- Obstructing traffic
Objectives of the Smart Gates
The smart gates aim to reduce traffic accidents and enhance the safety of drivers and other road users. These new gates monitor traffic violations and weather conditions to send immediate alerts, adjusting vehicle speed based on visibility conditions.
Important Reminders for Road Users
Road users are reminded to renew their vehicle registrations to avoid fines of 500 AED, four black points on their license, and the potential impoundment of their vehicles for seven days. The Abu Dhabi Police emphasized the importance of staying updated with messages during changing weather conditions to improve road safety for all users.
