Nissan Unveils the Production Version of the GT-R50
General Information on the Vehicle
Nissan has officially unveiled the production version of the "Nissan GT-R50," designed by Italdesign. This model represents the latest iteration of the GT-R series, with Nissan announcing the opening of reservations for the limited 50 units it plans to produce.
Design and Pricing
Notably, the exterior design of the vehicle remains unchanged from the prototype first showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England last July.
- The price for the modified "GT-R" model from Nismo, which boasts 720 PS, is set at €990,000 before taxes and options.
Partnership with Italdesign
Nissan collaborated with Italdesign, headquartered in Turin, Italy, to realize the design of this version based on the latest GT-R Nismo model, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the GT-R in 2019 and Italdesign in 2018.
While the final design features a unique gray color with golden accents, Nissan customers will have the opportunity to select their preferred color combinations, as well as interior design choices and various packages1.
Exhibitions and Showcases
In addition to its debut at the Goodwood Festival, the GT-R50 prototype has also appeared at:
- Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium.
- Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in the United States.
- Nissan Crossing in Ginza, Tokyo, Japan.
The vehicle will be displayed at the Nissan showroom in Yokohama starting December 7.
Director's Statement
Bob Lisle, the Global Sports Car Program Director at Nissan, commented:
"The Nissan GT-R50 has received tremendous feedback from Nissan customers worldwide, surpassing our expectations immensely."
He added: "The limited production of 50 units of this design, commemorating 50 years since the launch of the first GT-R and 50 years since the founding of Italdesign, will celebrate the exceptional efforts of Nissan's engineering team and the remarkable legacy of Nissan sports cars."
