The new type of steel will allow for the transformation of components into complex shapes, resulting in parts that are lighter and more precise than traditional components.

Infiniti QX50

The luxurious mid-size SUV, the "Infiniti QX50," launched last March, is the first vehicle in the world to have its front and rear structures manufactured from ultra-high-strength steel rated at 980 megapascals. Nissan aims to expand the use of this steel due to its fuel efficiency and outstanding driving performance.

Nissan's Sustainability Plan

This month, Nissan launched its sustainability plan, which aims to reduce carbon emissions from its new vehicles by 40% by 2022 compared to the fiscal year 2000.
