Nissan Reveals the New Nismo RC Electric Race Car
Nissan has unveiled the all-new Nismo RC electric race car, which boasts twice the power and torque compared to its predecessor. The announcement took place at the "Nissan Crossing" showroom in the Ginza area of Tokyo. The vehicle was recently launched during the annual "Nismo" festival at the Fuji International Speedway, alongside Nissan's new Formula E electric race car. The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC was designed by Nismo, Nissan's motorsport division, specializing in tuning cars for everyday driving and enhancing them for motorsport participation.

Equipped with dual electric motors, all-wheel drive, and a reinforced chassis, this specially designed car demonstrates how Nissan's electric vehicle technology can deliver a powerful, quiet, and zero-emission driving experience. Powertrain Details
The all-new Nissan Leaf Nismo RC is powered by two electric motors located at either end of the chassis. Both motors generate a combined output of 240 kilowatts (120 kilowatts each) and 640 Newton-meters of instantaneous torque at the wheels, more than double the maximum power and torque of the previous Leaf Nismo RC model, which was launched in 2011. The drivetrain technology in the new Nissan Leaf includes a lithium-ion battery and high-capacity inverters.
Technical Specifications
The Leaf Nismo RC features multiple lightweight components, a monocoque structure made from carbon fiber, resulting in a total weight of just 1220 kilograms. This allows for an impressive power-to-weight ratio, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds—50% faster than the previous model.

The all-new Nissan Leaf Nismo RC will be showcased at Formula E electric races, exhibitions, and major events worldwide.
