Parking Regulations in Dubai
According to an official statement from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, parking will be free from 6 PM to 8 PM across all paid parking zones in the city. The time slots are divided into two sessions, with parking fees applicable from 8 AM to 6 PM and from 8 PM to midnight daily, except on Fridays. Specifically, in the TECOM area, parking fees will apply from 8 AM to 6 PM, Saturday through Thursday.
Parking Regulations in Abu Dhabi
In the capital, Abu Dhabi, residents and visitors can enjoy free parking from 2 PM to 9 PM throughout the week. From Saturday to Wednesday, parking fees will be in effect from 9 AM to 2 PM and from 9 PM to 2:30 AM. On Thursdays, parking fees will apply from 9 AM to 2 PM and from 9 PM to midnight, while parking is free on Fridays.
Special Exemptions
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMAT) in Abu Dhabi has confirmed that individuals attending Taraweeh prayers will be exempt from parking fees in areas surrounding mosques during prayer times, provided that they do not obstruct vehicle flow or traffic. Additionally, drivers are reminded to comply with the regulations regarding parking permits, which are valid from 9 PM to 8 AM.
