Rolls-Royce is renowned for never restricting the imagination of its clients. Instead, the brand empowers them to draw inspiration from anywhere in the world—or even the universe. This philosophy is vividly embodied in their latest masterpiece: the Wraith Inspired by Earth. Commissioned by Rolls-Royce Abu Dhabi, this unique vehicle’s design captures the essence of the solar system and our planet as seen from outer space.
Exterior Design: Earth and Cosmos United
The exterior is finished in a regal royal blue, symbolizing the 75 percent of Earth's surface covered by water. The most captivating feature is the artistic masterpiece on the bonnet, depicting the Middle East as seen from space. The United Arab Emirates sits at the heart of this panoramic view, which spans the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Arabian Gulf, and Gulf of Oman. The scene is meticulously hand-painted using an airbrush, a process requiring over 100 hours of dedicated craftsmanship.
Completing the exterior is a hand-painted Emerald Green “coachline” that elegantly represents the Sun and all eight planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
Interior Design: Celebrating Life on Earth
Inside, the design highlights Earth's surface, humanity, and the nature that inhabits it. The seats are upholstered in moccasin leather, evoking the golden sands of the UAE desert. Contrasting accents in navy and cobalt blue represent rivers and lakes, while Emerald Green details symbolize nature in all its forms. The intricate white Arctic stitching and the “RR” monogram are inspired by clouds and flowing clear waters.
Back Cabin and Unique Artistic Details
The rear cabin features a breathtaking scene between the seats, with embroidered clouds in the sky enhanced by precise “Photoflash” light techniques. The dashboard is adorned with a Piano Milori finish, bearing a satellite image of the Middle East rendered with such realism it could be mistaken for a photograph—yet it is expertly airbrushed by hand.
The iconic starlight headliner is meticulously crafted to represent all the planets orbiting the Sun in the solar system. Additional unique details include personalized door sills, a clock with a radiant metallic background, and silver planet inlays that highlight Earth in gold.
