History of the SL Model

The first Mercedes SL was launched in 2001. The model underwent slight modifications in 2009, and those models remained in production until 2012. Following this period, the current model was introduced.

Future Facelift Plans

It has been reported that before the next model is released, Mercedes plans to give the SL another facelift. This updated model is estimated to debut in 2016/17.

Expected Features of the Facelift

The upcoming facelift is expected to include:

• Updated front and back design
• Interior enhancements

The current prototype showcases the S-Class coupe headlights, which may not fit the SL63's design aesthetic, but adjustments are anticipated.
