Launch of the Volvo XC40 Recharge
In line with its vision to transition its entire production line to electric mobility, Volvo has opened reservations for its XC40 Recharge P8, an all-electric SUV. This marks Volvo's first electric vehicle built on the platform of its best-selling SUV in various global markets. With thousands of orders already placed, production and customer deliveries are expected to commence later this year.
Local Market Availability
Al-Futtaim Automotive, the exclusive distributor of Volvo cars in the UAE, is set to introduce the XC40 Recharge P8 to the local market in 2021. This will be preceded by the launch of the XC40 Hybrid in the fourth quarter of this year.

Features of the XC40 Recharge
The XC40 Recharge is Volvo's first electric vehicle, representing a significant achievement for the company. It features a new entertainment system powered by Google Android, incorporating various systems such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and access to the Google Play Store for apps.
Performance and Range
In terms of performance, the XC40 Recharge P8 offers a driving range of up to 400 km on a single charge, with a power output of 408 hp. Additionally, the battery can be charged to 80% in just 40 minutes using fast charging systems.
