Opening of the First Audi Sport Center in the World in Abu Dhabi
Opening Details
The first Audi Sport center in the world, dedicated to high-performance Audi vehicles, was inaugurated for dignitaries and media in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. The center is operated by Ali & Sons, the official distributor of Audi in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Center Objectives
This new showroom aims to present a distinctive vision for the brand while meeting the increasing demand for high-performance cars in the region. The opening was attended by Audi Sport CEO Stefan Winkelmann and nine-time Le Mans champion Tom Kristensen.
Market Growth
Given the significant growth, with over 17,000 sports cars sold globally in 2015, the opening of the Audi Sport center in Abu Dhabi is a testament to the growing regional market. In Abu Dhabi alone, the highest sales figures for the Audi R8 are recorded, reflecting a 133% increase in demand at present.
Increasing Number of Dealers
With 370 Audi Sport dealers worldwide, this number is expected to rise to 600 by the end of 2017. In the Middle East, there are currently seven dealers located in Dubai, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi.
