Cadillac has been a darling for hoard customers, especially those who wanted to be seen. Famously known for its luxury limos, the American brand was losing touch with many of the markets that it was operating in. All of this changed when Cadillac began cranking out some high-performance cars in the early-to-mid 2000s, which refocused the minds of those who thought that this automaker was meant for older clientele.
While the American luxury brand produces quite a few high-end vehicles in this day and age, its sports sedans are undeniably some of its finest creations – one of these being the Cadillac CT5-V. The CT5-V is the sportier sibling of the standard CT5 sedan, with the Blackwing being the most unhinged version. Now that Cadillac has revealed the 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing and confirmed their arrival in the Middle East, it is time to get ourselves acquainted with these two cars.

Speaking about the all-new Cadillac was John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. John Roth said, "Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year. Last year, our sedans experienced their best sales since 2018 and CT5 is Cadillac's best-selling vehicle, globally. As V-Series celebrates a record year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated."
What is new about this design?
While it is all-new for 2025, the exterior design of the Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing hasn’t been drastically altered over their pre-facelift iterations. Considering that this is a facelift, the general form factor obviously remains the same, with much of the outer panels and body lines carried over from the previous model as well.
That said, a few key changes will be noticeable to those who look closer. The biggest change that will be visible on the 2025 CT5-V can be spotted at the front, where the full-LED headlamps are now of an all-new, cohesive design. The twin-beam headlights are accompanied by a long vertical LED strip and a horizontal LED turn indicator, whilst the redesigned front bumper features a new front splitter and a lower lip spoiler.
Looking at the hotter 2025 CT5-V Blackwing, the front grille is of a completely different design when compared with the CT5-V. The air dam is also deeper and taller than what’s found in the CT5-V, with larger, dual air scoops to help the engine breathe better. There is a lot more gloss black finish on the Blackwing than on the CT5-V, and it also has a sportier front bumper. This includes deeper side intakes and an aggressive front splitter.
Some of the other new aspects of the facelifted Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing include new color options like Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic. Then there are some tweaks here and there when it comes to improving the aerodynamic efficiencies of the sports sedan over its predecessor.
What is new on the inside?
While the interior of the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V version is more modern and advanced than on the pre-facelift model, a few things remain unchanged. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has been carried over, with its button layouts and premium build. Similarly, the steering-mounted stalks, while some of the center console buttons and AC-vent design are identical to that of the previous CT5-V variants.
The new models also get the same center aisle design as the former CT5-V variants, which include the gear selector, infotainment control dials, and even the inner door handles. Now, looking at the things that have changed on the inside of the 2025 CT5-V variants, there is an all-new dashboard that integrates widescreen dual displays that sport a curved design. The side AC vents are new, and so is the wireless charging pad ahead of the gear lever.
The sporty seats up front have been designed to hold occupants in place while also being comfortable. We can expect Cadillac to have improved several other facets of the CT5-V’s interior, which is likely to host a more comfortable cabin experience. The user interface of the touchscreen infotainment display will be customizable as per the driver’s preference, and there is an in-vehicle Performance Data Recorder. The Performance Data Recorder can keep tabs on the car’s power, torque, boost, g-force, tire temperature, and multiple other real-time data.
What is under the hood?
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V will continue to be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that pushes out 355 hp and 550 Nm of torque. Then there is the higher-strung 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The Blackwing is housing a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that develops 668 hp and 893 Nm of torque – really impressive numbers.
There are real-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, and the sports sedan can be had with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The CT5-V Blackwing can be optioned with a 6-speed manual. Braking comes from modern Brembo carbon ceramics (front & rear), while Launch Control, Magnetic Ride Control, and an electronic limited-slip differential are common on both new cars. In its highest-performance avatar, the Cadillac CT5-V should go from 0-100 km/h in around 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of over 320 km/h.
Expected Price & Launch Date
According to the American automaker, deliveries of the first units of the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will reach customers in the Middle East in the first half of 2025. While the brand is yet to release any information on the actual costs of these two models, expect the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V to be priced from above AED 260,000 in the UAE.
