Lamborghini has officially revealed the Temerario GT3, their first-ever GT3 race car entirely designed, developed, and built in-house at the Sant’Agata Bolognese HQ.
Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the purpose-built racer has got some big shoes to fill.That’s because it is the successor to the wildly successful Huracán GT3 - the model that secured 96 championship titles and over 200 customer sales over a decade of motorsport dominance.
Built for Motorsport from Day One
Unlike past race cars adapted from street models, the Temerario GT3 was conceived as a racer from the outset. Both the standard car and its competition sibling were engineered concurrently, allowing Lamborghini to integrate competition-grade features, like reinforced chassis and efficient servicing solutions, right into the base design.
Chassis & Body Optimized for Speed and Service
The race car uses the road car’s aluminum spaceframe, but significantly redesigned. It removes hybrid components to reduce weight, adds a built-in FIA roll cage, and features detachable front and rear subframes for fast pit operations.
Even the underfloor is split into four quick-release sections, so repairs can happen while sitting on air jacks. That’s some top notch thinking right there.
The carbon-fibre bodywork, crafted jointly by Centro Stile and Squadra Corse, preserves the sleek silhouette of the road car while adding motorsport-specific aero like larger splitters, dive planes, rear diffuser, and a swan-neck rear wing.
Race-Ready V8 Engine, Suspension, Wheels and Cockpit
Under the hood sits a race-spec 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, stripped of its hybrid motors to meet GT3 rules. While the road car makes 789 hp, the GT3 version is tuned to around 550 hp (depending on Balance of Performance), delivered through a new six-speed transverse sequential gearbox.
The clever engineers at Sant'Agata have recalibrated the turbos, airbox, and exhaust and added lightweight titanium rods and a flat-plane crankshaft for durability and response across a broader rev range. Bella!

Playing a critical role in setup flexibility are KW’s six-way adjustable dampers borrowed from Lamborghini’s SC63 LMDh program. They are paired with a bespoke hydraulic steering rack.
The car sits on 18-inch Ronal AG wheels wrapped in GT3-spec tires, and suspension mounts are redesigned for quick swapping during race weekends
In the cockpit, the team took input from factory drivers like Marco Mapelli and Andrea Caldarelli to refine ergonomics and switchgear layout. New steering wheel, data-logging system, race software, and updated graphics provide improved usability under endurance conditions
When and Where will it Race?
The GT3 model is slated for its competitive debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March 2026, with Lamborghini customer teams around the world receiving deliveries shortly after.
