Kia has officially launched the all-new 2018 Rio through Al Majid Motors, the exclusive distributor of Kia in the UAE, during an event held in Deira. In its fourth generation, Kia has redesigned the Rio to attract a broader audience with a practical, first-rate vehicle, enhanced driving capabilities, and certified safety specifications.
Design Features
The new design showcases sharp features that give the car a purposeful stance. It resembles sporty hatchback designs and is available in 10 exterior colors, along with two styles of aluminum wheels. The interior boasts ample space, providing 325 liters of trunk capacity—more than any of its competitors in the same segment. The cabin also features a floating infotainment system with a 5-inch display accompanied by six speakers.

The 2018 Kia Rio comes equipped with features found in the company’s premium vehicles, including keyless entry and start, rain-sensing wipers, heated and power-adjustable door mirrors, a sliding sunroof, automatic windows, rear parking assist, and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.
Pricing and Engines
The starting price for the 2018 Kia Rio is AED 49,900, which includes a 5-year/150,000 km manufacturer warranty. The car is available with two engine options:
- The first is a 1.4-liter engine that produces approximately 99 horsepower.
- The second is a 1.6-liter engine generating about 121 horsepower.
