Very clear spy shots are here of the next-gen Ford Expedition and they show some very interesting details.
The most eye-catching of the lot? A split-tailgate. The tailgate seen in the spy shots looks similar to the ones found on the BMW X5 and the Land Rover Range Rover. Thanks to the test car having less camouflage than usual, people have spotted a crease in the tailgate.

Bigger, bolder 24-inch wheels are clearly visible, as is the huge touchscreen. The touchscreen looks to be the 48.0-inch display from the Lincoln Nautilus. But then, touchscreens are not a new thing in cars these days. bring back buttons!
This will be a mid-life refresh for the Ford Expedition so there are a number of cosmetic changes as well: the front fascia looks more simple and sorted, C-shaped running lights look even sleeker and the redesigned grille looks neat.

It is speculated that under the hood, the Ford Expedition will feature the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. Whispers on the internet also suggest that an option of a hybrid powertrain will also be there. The F-150’s hybrid V6 powertrain could be borrowed.
The all-new Expedition is touted to be revealed in late 2025.
