Abu Dhabi Police: Radar Cameras for Monitoring Traffic Violations
The Abu Dhabi Police have implemented new radar cameras that utilize infrared technology to detect speeding vehicles without flash. Starting Tuesday, an additional 36 new cameras will be added, bringing the total number of cameras to 146.
These cameras are capable of capturing 3D images and can cover 5 lanes in each direction. They can read vehicle license plates, identify vehicle types, determine speed, and count pedestrians at intersections. This system is also connected to alerts and SMS notifications.

- Running a red light
- Unsafe lane changes
- Parking over pedestrian lines
- Exceeding the speed limit
- Overtaking at intersections
- Making illegal turns
