Abu Dhabi Police has implemented strict measures against parents and guardians who allow children to sit in the front seat. A new awareness campaign has been launched to remind drivers of the potential dangers of having underage children in the front seat.
Child Seating Regulations
Abu Dhabi Police has stated that children under the age of 10 or shorter than 145 cm are not permitted to sit in the front seat. Anyone who violates this rule will face a fine of 400 AED.

Safety in Case of Accidents
Abu Dhabi Police emphasized that children under the age of four must be secured in designated child seats. They also warned that in the unfortunate event of an accident, if the child is not properly secured, they are at risk of impact equivalent to falling from the tenth floor.
Emphasis on Seatbelt Use
As a reminder, Abu Dhabi Police stated that seatbelts are mandatory for the driver and all passengers in the vehicle. Failure to wear a seatbelt will result in a fine of 400 AED and four black points for each individual in the vehicle.
