Ajman's Slow-Down Program Enhances Senior Citizen Safety

Introduction

Senior citizens in the Emirate of Ajman will soon receive special vehicle stickers designed to alert other drivers to yield or slow down when approaching these vehicles. The "Slow-Down" awareness program, launched by the Ajman Police in collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development, will run for a month, aiming to enhance the quality of life for seniors and expatriates in the emirate.

How to Use the Stickers

Seniors can apply these stickers on the rear of their vehicles, allowing drivers behind them to slow down or make way when necessary. Drivers are encouraged to prioritize the safety of senior citizens as a sign of respect.

The Importance of the Awareness Campaign

Mariam Salem Al-Salman, Chairperson of the Emirates Friends of Seniors Association at the Ministry of Community Development, stated that this awareness campaign supports the national strategy for protecting and ensuring the welfare of senior citizens.
