Ajman Police Introduces Zero-Interest Installment Scheme for Traffic Fines

Overview of the New Scheme

Motorists who have pending traffic fines from the emirate of Ajman can now clear them through an easy installment scheme with zero interest. This initiative aims to increase public happiness and assist them in clearing their fines with a lesser burden. The Ajman Police has introduced this scheme in partnership with Emirates Islamic Bank.

Details of the Installment Plan

Major-General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, stated:

“Drivers can now clear their fines registered in Ajman in twelve installments. The installment plan is only valid on fines worth over AED 1,000 and is limited to customers of Emirates Islamic Bank. There will be no interest charged against the installment plan.”

Context and Comparison

This initiative follows in the footsteps of Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which also introduced installment payment schemes to facilitate easier fine clearing for the public.
