All-New Renault Koleos
Introduction
Recently, Renault unveiled the all-new Koleos at the Beijing Auto Show. This exciting model is set to launch globally soon and may feature a 7-seat option. The Renault Koleos is the flagship SUV for the brand, competing directly with the Kia Sorento, positioning it as the larger sibling of the Captur and Duster.
Design of the Renault Koleos
The design of the Renault Koleos follows the signature style of other Renault vehicles. It features prominent C shaped LED headlights and the well-known chrome front grille. According to designer Laurens van den Acker, creating a modern and dynamic SUV that is more than just luxurious was the challenge. This was achieved through aggressive yet elegant horizontal lines, rugged contours, and a ground clearance of 213 mm, making it suitable for all-terrain driving. The rear design bears resemblance to the Megane.
Koleos Interior
The interior of the Koleos mirrors that of other Renault vehicles, featuring a well-known touchscreen interface. The cabin is adorned with ventilated leather seats and ambient LED lighting. With ample space, the trunk offers a capacity of 624 liters. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with the following technologies:
- Lane Departure Warning
- Traffic Sign Recognition
- Attention Assist
- Parking Sensors
- Rearview Camera
The Renault Koleos is built on the foundation of the Nissan X-Trail, providing either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. However, detailed specifications will be revealed at the official launch.
