Aston Martin Vantage 2019 Review

Aston Martin Vantage 2019

Despite Middle Eastern roads being embellished with supercars flaunting the brightest of hues, an Aston Martin never blends into the crowd. Be it for its understated styling or for its distinct exhaust note, it captures more of the spotlight than one could imagine. The all-new Vantage is no exception and in the subtlest of greys, it’s ready to take on Germany’s finest, the Audi R8, Mercedes-AMG GT, and the Porsche 911.

Exterior

The new Aston Martin Vantage captures attention with its bold styling, diverging from the previous model's elegance and sophistication. This model flaunts:

  • A broad snout
  • Flared arches
  • A prominent bulge on the hood
  • Tapering creases enhancing its sporty outline

Much like the DB11 we recently tested, which you can read about here, the Vantage showcases doors that swing outwards and slightly upwards, adding both style and functionality.

The rear design of the Vantage is particularly striking, featuring a concealed spoiler with an integrated taillamp that runs elegantly from one side to the other, showcasing its aerodynamic prowess.

Interior

The cabin of the Aston Martin Vantage is designed with precision, offering a simple and uncluttered environment that radiates luxury. Key features include:

  • Bright red leather upholstery
  • Low seating position
  • Octagonal steering wheel
  • Glass finished buttons and chrome piping

While the infotainment system is borrowed from Mercedes-Benz, it seamlessly integrates into the luxurious interior, ensuring a high-quality experience without detracting from the Aston Martin identity.

Drive

The Vantage is powered by a stunning AMG engine, lifted straight from the C63, delivering:

  • 503 horsepower
  • 685 Nm of torque

With a weight of just 1,503 kg, the Vantage accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds, reaching a remarkable top speed of 315 km/h.

Designed for both speed and agility, the Vantage offers a balanced driving experience and is configured to excel in cornering dynamics, allowing drivers to explore its limits confidently.

Notably, the Vantage feels smaller and more agile from the driver's seat, making it less intimidating to drive, even in its Sport and Sport+ modes.
