Bentley Unveils Fingerprint Sensing Technology in the Bentayga
Bentley has introduced a new fingerprint sensing technology in its Bentayga model, featuring a secure storage unit that enhances peace of mind for its customers.
This fingerprint sensing technology was developed by Mulliner, Bentley's division specializing in bespoke vehicles. It is integrated into a storage unit made from high-pressure die-cast aluminum, located within the cabin.
Commenting on this innovation, Adi Sinapati, Head of Technical Operations at Mulliner, stated: "The Mulliner storage unit with secure biometric technology is discreetly hidden. We draw inspiration from the fingerprint sensing technology prevalent in smartphones, which can store multiple fingerprints, allowing users to control who has access to their valuable possessions."
This unit also features USB connections and an auxiliary port, facilitating the connection and charging of portable devices, thereby enabling passengers to enjoy a variety of infotainment technologies in the Bentayga, including Apple CarPlay.
This discreet and unobtrusive vault is ideally positioned for securely storing valuables during journeys and while utilizing valet services.
