Abu Dhabi Department of Transport Expands Bus Routes

Introduction

The number of commuters in Abu Dhabi has increased significantly. In response, the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi (DoT) has decided to introduce route expansion and changes for 10 buses operating in Abu Dhabi and 5 in Al Ain.

Route Modifications

As part of these changes, some bus services will be cancelled, while expansions of other routes will take place.

Official Statement

General Manager of the Bus Office at the DoT, Saeed Mohammed Fadel Al Hameli, stated in a quote from the Al Khaleej Times:

"These route modifications have been implemented following a comprehensive study conducted by the DoT on all existing route services with an aim to address commuters’ needs for world-class, convenient and almost round-the-clock bus transportation options."
