Good news! Well, sort of. Dubai Police has finally introduced an installment scheme for motorists to pay their traffic fines. But following things are to be kept in mind:
- Fines accumulated for one-year only
- Fines should not exceed 3000 AED for individuals and 20000 AED for companies
- 30 percent payment upfront for individuals and 50 percent for companies
- Remaining amount paid in cheques
- Each cheque will have an additional charge of 50 AED
- Cheques should be presented in person by the individual or relative
Apparently everyone has enough fines to merit installment payments. What next? 0% Down Payment?!
