Experience the 2017 Nissan GT R at Dubai Autodrome
Introduction
We were recently invited to the Dubai Autodrome to experience one of Japan’s finest automobiles: the legendary Nissan GT R. Having admired it through screens and video games since childhood, this was truly a dream come true.

Arrival at the Autodrome
Upon our arrival, we were presented with not 1, not 2, but 3 striking Nissan GT Rs. The first two outside, Orange and Blue, both donned glossy black wheels. However, nothing could prepare me for the third one, the most extreme GT R to date: the 2017 Nissan GT R Nismo.
Track Experience
After a quick photo session, we were guided into the garage for a walkthrough of the track and the vehicle itself. We were informed that this experience would be unlike any other track day we had attended - a bold claim indeed, but it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Performance Insights
As many are aware, the GT R is a car that defies expectations. Its tires are filled with nitrogen for better stability at high speeds. The state-of-the-art 4WD system delivers an astounding 562 horsepower from a 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 engine, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h in under 3 seconds - impressive for a vehicle that costs significantly less than its competitors.

Driving the GT R
After donning our balaclavas and race helmets and testing the cameras, we jumped into the car and fired up the ferocious Twin Turbo V6. What began with modest speeds soon escalated into digits well over 200 km/h. A quick warm-up lap, complete with instructions on turning and braking zones, and then the GT R was all ours to command.
Zooming down the straights and braking hard into the corners, it quickly became clear why the instructor had claimed this experience would be unmatched. The gut-wrenching speeds and astonishing grip and braking performance were simply incredible.
After three laps at maximum throttle and pushing the limits of grip, we were instructed to slow down and complete a cooling lap before entering the pit zone. Once again, the GT R exceeded all expectations and demonstrated its phenomenal capabilities.
