Infiniti Q60 2017 Review: A Luxury Sports Car Experience
Introduction
The year 2012 was filled with memorable events that affected individuals on a global scale. Queen Elizabeth II celebrated sixty years of British monarchy, Barack Obama was reelected for a second term as President of the United States, and Infiniti announced its complicated and reworked model nomenclature.
Model Naming Structure
Replacing the recognizable “M”, “G”, “QX”, “FX”, “JX”, and “EX” with a simple “Q” followed by a multiple of ten, it seemed the brand aimed to confuse audiences. The all-new Q60 replaces the legendary G-Coupe and rivals the Lexus RC and BMW 4-Series.

Exterior Design
Brands are often synonymous with certain traits. This write-up focuses on the Infiniti Q60, which showcases the brand's ability to produce stunning coupes. When the second-generation Q60 was announced in late 2014, skepticism arose about whether it could match its predecessor. Fast forward a few years, and the designers have clearly excelled, crafting what can be described as an automotive masterpiece.

Interior Features
The Infiniti Q60's interior continues its artistic theme, blending sporty cues from the Q50 sedan with luxury. Elements like piano black and silver trims, along with stitched perforated leather, create an opulent atmosphere.
The Q60 maintains the sporty feel of its predecessor with a hefty steering wheel, a clear instrument cluster, and comfortable bucket seats. Surprisingly, it offers ample space in both the passenger compartment and the trunk.
Safety & Technology
The Q60 features a dual-screen multimedia system, including a touch control unit and physical buttons for ease of use. An impressive 13-speaker Bose audio system delivers exceptional sound quality, complemented by an active noise cancellation system.
Driving aids include adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, an around view monitor, backup collision intervention, forward emergency braking, and blind spot detection.

Driving Experience
The Q60 replaces its naturally aspirated predecessor with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, generating 400 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. Coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
With 336 configurations available, the drive mode selector allows for extreme customization, affecting engine mapping, throttle response, suspension stiffness, and steering feel.
Verdict
The Infiniti Q60 bridges the gap between the softer Lexus RC F and the performance-oriented BMW M4. Although it offers an attractive starting price of AED 280,000, its AED 320,000 price tag may impact its success.
