Kia Motors has announced the launch of the global "Kia Promise" program aimed at extending warranties for its vehicles. This initiative is designed to support Kia customers whose mobility has been restricted due to preventive measures against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Details of the Kia Promise Program
The "Kia Promise" program covers 142 countries and applies to all vehicles with an original Kia warranty that expires between February 1 and April 30, 2020. This program extends the warranty validity for these vehicles until June 30, 2020.
According to Kia Motors, more than 500,000 customers worldwide could benefit from the warranty extension through the "Kia Promise" program.
Objectives of the Program
As many countries and companies implement preventive measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, the "Kia Promise" program aims to assist customers who may be unable to visit service workshops during this period. The program also helps customers who cannot bring their vehicles in for free service or prepaid maintenance provided as part of Kia's service packages due to strict measures in place to limit the spread of the virus.
