Lamborghini Centenario: Celebrating 100 Years of Innovation
2016 is an important year for Automobili Lamborghini, marking the 100th birth anniversary of the company's founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, Lamborghini has launched a special edition car called the Lamborghini Centenario.
Design and Features
The Lamborghini Centenario is based on the Aventador platform, yet it boasts a completely new and radical appearance. This model likely introduces a new design language for future Lamborghini cars, reminiscent of the Reventon. However, it's important to note that Lamborghini has previously released limited editions, such as the Veneno and Siesto Elemento.
Production and Pricing
Similar to previous special editions, the Centenario will be limited in production, with only 40 units available: 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. Each unit is priced at an astounding 1.75 million euros, and, impressively, all units are already sold out. It is expected that some examples will make their way to the GCC region.

- Drive System: It is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, similar to the Aventador.
- Weight: The entire car is constructed from carbon fibre, resulting in a curb weight of just 1.51 tons.
- Technology: This marks the first Lamborghini with a rear-wheel steering system and a touch-based infotainment system compatible with Apple Carplay, featuring internet connectivity for modern users.
Acceleration and Top Speed
The Lamborghini Centenario boasts impressive performance figures:
- Acceleration: It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
- Top Speed: Its top speed reaches around 350 km/h, similar to the Aventador.
In conclusion, the Lamborghini Centenario serves as a tribute to the brand and its founder, encapsulating Lamborghini's legacy and innovative spirit.
