Abu Dhabi Motors – the official distributors of BMW, Rolls Royce, and MINI in Abu Dhabi – has invited the media and VIP customers to a fun-filled event at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 3rd of March 2016 (this Thursday). This event is dedicated to MINI and the latest offerings from the brand. The dealer aims to gain as many leads as possible to secure potential customers for the MINI brand.
Event Highlights
As per the information we have currently, the MINI event includes:
- Test Drive: Experience all the models from MINI on the Yas Marina Circuit.
- Coffee-Tasting Activity: Enjoy a delightful coffee experience.
- Instagram Workshop: Learn tips and tricks to enhance your social media presence.
- Live Band: Dance to tunes provided by a live band at the venue.
In short, it is like having a picnic or a family day-out on the track. However, the star of the show, undoubtedly, will be the all-new MINI Convertible and the MINI Clubman, which we will test-drive for the first time.
MINI Convertible and Clubman Features
From what we know, both MINI Convertible and MINI Clubman are facelifts of their predecessors. Key updates include:
- MINI Convertible: Total boot space increased by 25% to a manageable 215 liters.
- Roof Operation: The electrically operated fabric roof takes about 18 seconds to open and close, which is around 5-6 seconds longer than the Beetle Cabriolet.
New Features in the MINI Clubman
The MINI Clubman has undergone significant changes in both the interior and exterior. Features include:
- Four Doors: The new Clubman features four doors, with the rear door split into two for easy loading/unloading. It can be opened by swinging the foot below the sensor, similar to many modern vehicles.

Engine Specifications
Power options for both the MINI Clubman and MINI Convertible come in the form of Cooper and Cooper S variants. Specifications include:
- Base Models: Powered by a 1.5-liter supercharged engine producing 134 BHP and 220 Nm of torque.
- Cooper S Variants: Deliver 190 BHP and 280 Nm of torque courtesy of the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from BMW.
