New Audi TT RS: Everything You Need to Know
At the beginning of March, we informed you about the newly launched Audi Q2 at the Geneva Motor Show (you can read the news here). Now, we bring you the scoop on the spy shots of the performance car from Audi Sport, the new TT RS.
Audi recently launched the R8 supercar (check out the specifications of the R8 Coupe), and this is set to be the next release. Although the launch date has not been confirmed, we expect it to be this year. Now, let’s take a look at the captured model.
Thanks to Instagram user autogespot_spain, who shared this image of the car at a gas station in Granada, Spain. After several pictures of the car covered in camouflage, we finally see the fierce new front bumper of the TT RS.
Engine of the Audi TT RS
The new TT RS will feature a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 engine with the Quattro all-wheel drive system. It is expected that its power will exceed the previous generation's 360 horsepower. Will it reach 400 horsepower? We’ll have to wait to find out.
Rumors Surrounding the Car
There are rumors suggesting that it will not offer a manual transmission option like the previous generation. The TT RS will come with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission only. Unfortunately, this is the case.
