Geely has revealed its flagship SUV, the Monjaro, in the UAE. Built on the firm’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA),the Monjaro looks to be the ultimate all-rounder SU with its safety, performance, intelligence, and efficiency.
Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection engine co-developed with Volvo, the Monjaro packs 235 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque paired with an Aisin eight-speed automatic transmission. Zero to 100kph takes just 7.7 seconds, which is quite impressive for an SUV.
The Monjaro features BorgWarner's sixth-generation four-wheel-drive system (4WD) thanks to which the SUV has a 50:50 front/rear torque distribution. Five driving modes are available: Eco, Norm, Sport, Snow, and Off-Road.
The interior has a 12.3-inch digital panoramic multimedia display, a 10.25 or 12.3-inch TFT instrument console and a head-up display. For full entertainment of the driver and passengers, a 10-speaker high-performance BOSE premium sound system is on offer. The cabin boasts dual-layered soundproofing. The lighting of the cabin changes according to the driving mode one is in.
The Monjaro has an advanced sensor suite that offers Highway Assisted Driving. The SUV can actively monitor its surroundings, autonomously change lanes, and even move a safe distance away from large vehicles when needed. What’s more, drivers can also direct the Monjaro to autonomously change lanes simply by signaling. WOW

The Monjaro range starts from AED 123,900 and goes all the way till AED 138,900 for the range-topping model. The launch offer of the Monjaro includes a three-year finance package at just 0.99%, free registration and window tinting, a five-year or 100,000km service contract, and a five-year or 150,000km warranty.
