Sharjah Police Arrest Expat Driver for Over 106 Traffic Violations
The Sharjah Police have arrested an expatriate driver for accumulating over 106 traffic violations, with fines totaling 1,138,000 AED within a single year. The 31-year-old driver was apprehended by a police patrol while illegally picking up passengers—a serious offense in the United Arab Emirates.
History of Violations
Sharjah Police confirmed that the driver was arrested on July 24. Upon reviewing his records, the officer on duty discovered that the man had committed 106 violations and accrued fines exceeding one million AED.

According to Colonel Mohammed Abdul Rahman Bin Qasim, acting director of Al Wasit Police, the driver committed these violations over the span of one year, with the first infraction recorded on August 16, 2018.
