As the successful aftermath of a race that required inexorable levels of determination, the tenacious drivers Oliver Rowland claimed victory as the winner scudded skillfully in the ultimate 16th round at London E-Prix.
This would have surely come as a sigh of relief to him post a tumultuous round on the previous Saturday where the duo, also featuring Sacha Fenestraz failed to secure points owing to certain preposterous events and penalties. As the race progressed to bewildering hubbub, the proficient driver clinched to the fourth place from ninth by maneuvering the car deftly while being cognizant of other drivers’ movements and the circumstances thrown at by the racetrack. Eventually, foreseeing the demand for Attack Mode by the leaders, he drove the car with accurate judgement to counter all imperfections and achieved the zenith position.

The other driver became worthy of admiration for grappling hard in a jammed field to secure the 15th rank and finish his second season with the hard-working Nissan Formula E convoy. Nissan concluded the adrenaline-pumping motorsport event by securing a final fourth place in Season 10’s Teams’ Championship with the score board reading 182 points. Rowland jumped to fourth in the Drivers’ Championship whereas Fenestraz finished 17th. An even better result was obtained at Manfacturers’ Trophy where they finished third.
Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team: “What an amazing way to finish the season! After a frustrating race on Saturday, where both drivers were involved in incidents and picked up penalties, we bounced back with an improved set-up and great pace from Oli to take the win on Sunday. The strategy was spot on to get up to fourth, and then he took advantage of incidents and the frontrunners needing to take Attack Mode to move into the lead.
He stayed calm, executed it perfectly to claim the win, making it an excellent end to a really strong season. Sacha also did a great job protecting his position against our most direct competitors and keeping them behind. To finish fourth in the Teams’ Championship and third in the manufacturers’ standings is a real positive and we can be proud of our performance. It was also great to have Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida with us for this win, which made it even more special! This result will give us a boost heading into the off-season. We’ll look to keep pushing and improving ahead of next year, where we aim to challenge for both championships.”

Oliver Rowland, driver, Nissan Formula E Team: “The perfect end to a fantastic season! I never expected to win the final round on Sunday, I got a great start and picked my moments in a crazy race. Once I got to fourth, I didn’t want to get too involved in the title fight, so I waited and hoped for something to happen, which it eventually did and I managed to pick up the pieces to win the race. We should be very proud of our season, the target was to build as a team and we’ve achieved a lot. We’ve been consistently competitive and it gives us a great platform for next year. Thanks to the whole crew for their work and looking forward to being back!”
Sacha Fenestraz, driver, Nissan Formula E Team: “It hasn’t been an easy season, but I learned a lot from it and it will make me stronger in the future. In Saturday’s race we had really strong pace, but unfortunately an incident meant we received a five- second penalty and dropped out of the top-10. A big shame for us as I think we deserved to finish in the points. Today was also challenging, it was tough to fight in the midfield on this track and we weren’t able to move forwards. A big thanks to the team for all their hard work this season and I’m looking forward to getting back on track and showing what I can do.
