Launch of the XC40 BEV
Al-Futtaim, the exclusive distributor of Volvo in the UAE, has unveiled the fully electric, all-wheel-drive XC40 BEV. This marks the first fully electric vehicle of its kind in the Middle East, designed for urban life and city use. Sustainable Materials and Environmental Impact
The use of sustainable materials is a key strategy to reduce the environmental impact of the XC40 Recharge. Notably:
- The interior upholstery is made entirely from recycled rubber.
- It has a lower carbon footprint compared to the XC40 T5 gasoline model over a distance of more than 200,000 km.
- The battery has a capacity of 78 kWh, allowing drivers to cover a distance of up to 418 km before needing to recharge.
New Volvo Studio
The new vehicle was revealed at the recently opened Volvo Studio, the first of its kind in the region, showcasing the brand's commitment to leading change in the automotive industry.
