Al-Futtaim Motors, the authorized dealer for Toyota in the UAE, hosted a special event to unveil the 2016 Toyota Innova at the Dubai Festival City. This marks the second generation of the Innova since its initial launch in 2005. The Toyota Innova is a family-friendly MPV that seats up to 8 passengers.

The design of this vehicle mirrors the models available in other markets (check out the leaked images here). The design is fresh yet retains similarities with the previous generation.

The cabin has also been updated with silver and faux wood accents. A 4.2" TFT display is included, similar to that in the Fortuner. Buyers can choose between 8 or 7 seats, along with foldable tables in the second row. Headroom has been increased by 5mm in the front seats and 10mm in the third-row seats. Additionally, cruise control is available.
Toyota Innova Engine
The Innova is powered by a 2.7L engine that delivers 164 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The platform is the same as that used in the Fortuner, promising a new suspension system for a comfortable drive. The vehicle is also equipped with ABS/EBD, airbags, and a rearview camera.

The new Innova is available in showrooms in three trims:
- SE priced at 92,900 AED
- SE+ priced at 98,900 AED
- Limited priced at 102,900 AED
General Manager's Statement
Saud Abbasi, General Manager of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, stated that the commercial light vehicle market is crucial for Al-Futtaim Motors and constitutes a fundamental part of their operations. He added that last year, the range of commercial light vehicles from Toyota achieved an 8% growth, while the light commercial vehicle segment itself saw a 4% increase. He also mentioned that the Innova is significant within this lineup and is popular among taxis and public transport.
