Design and Performance
According to worldwide images and news, the 5 Series features significant changes in its overall appearance and the supporting engine, along with a weight reduction and new technology that enhances fuel efficiency.
If you look at the pictures, you will notice its design closely resembles that of the 7 Series, represented by the lines and curves along the body, albeit in a less aggressive manner than the 7 Series. Additionally, it features adaptive LED headlights and a front grille that resembles that of the 3 Series. However, what sets this grille apart is the presence of active shutters that enhance the car’s traction, making the aerodynamics more effective.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a range of aerodynamic systems, such as air vents and curtains that direct airflow systematically to increase traction and stability at high speeds.

Engine and Technology
BMW also announced that the car's weight has decreased by 62 kg due to the adoption of aluminum, magnesium, and lightweight steel, even though the car has increased in length, width, and height compared to the previous model, which is a significant improvement.
Hosting a new, lighter engine, it is expected to be faster than its predecessor. The car adopts one of two engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, both of which can be ordered with the X-Drive all-wheel-drive system.
