2017 Cadillac CT6 Review: Design and Performance
Cadillac has embarked on a design refresh for its vehicles, marking a significant shift in its strategy. The first model to embody this new direction is the CT6, which now sits as the flagship above the ATS, CTS, and XTS. This makes it a completely new vehicle that deserves a closer look.

Exterior Design
Firstly, Cadillac has not completely overhauled its design language. The CT6 still retains the classic Cadillac look, with familiar details and lines. The final production model is elegant and luxurious. The rear design reminds me of the Jaguar XJ. However, I wasn't particularly impressed by the headlights, possibly because I'm still getting used to them. Overall, the car is very stylish and longer than its competitors in the Gulf region, which will appeal to customers.
Interior and Safety Features
The interior is reminiscent of the CTS. The model I tested featured a beige leather interior, which I found to be more appealing than the black option. The cabin includes some tasteful wood accents. You will notice leather touches around the CUE 10.2" system, which feels somewhat out of place. Aside from that, the design is sleek and simple. In terms of technology, it offers:

The cabin is spacious and comfortable. However, if you want to recline in the back seats, there isn't enough space unless you push the front seats forward. The aim of the CT6 was to provide more space than the 5 Series, and it has succeeded in that. Overall, the interior justifies the price of the vehicle.
Driving Experience
The engine in this car is a 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 producing 404 hp and 540 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The gearbox shifts rapidly, and the magnetic ride control system works exceptionally well, making for a comfortable driving experience. The steering is light and dynamic, and you don't feel like you're driving a large sedan; it feels more akin to a 5 Series (which is a compliment). After this brief experience, I can confidently say that you will feel like you are driving a German car, not an American one.

Cadillac has done an impressive job with the CT6, especially considering the price. If future models are anything like this, I foresee a bright future for them.
