Exterior Design
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the SLK, Mercedes-Benz decided to replace this iconic model with something more sophisticated and advanced: the AMG SLC43. While retaining a classic charm, this car has undergone a complete and noticeable transformation.
The SLC features a retractable hardtop that folds away in just seconds. Its curvy rear allows for smooth airflow and unobstructed visibility, complemented by new LED headlights and uniquely designed taillights that give the car an aggressive stance.
Interior Design
Although the cabin retains elements from its predecessor, the SLC presents a carefully curated elegance. On the day we tested the car, the weather was cold and foggy, and the cruise control system helped maintain a safe distance from the vehicles ahead despite the poor visibility.
Additionally, the heated neck-level heating and heated seats proved to be incredibly beneficial, keeping both me and my passenger warm throughout the experience. The cabin is exceptionally comfortable, even during long drives.
Safety and Technology
The car is equipped with the latest technological features, including radar-based braking systems, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and driver alert systems. The radar braking system uses multiple sensors to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, while the alert system measures driver fatigue and provides appropriate warnings.
Driving Experience
Although the previous 8-cylinder engine faced criticism from car enthusiasts, the new 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine has been welcomed with open arms. This engine features a 9-speed gearbox and a displacement of 3.0 liters, producing 367 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
