2017 Nissan Micra: Design and Specifications
The Nissan Micra has been a staple of the Japanese automaker's production line since 1982. However, it only made its debut in the Middle East with its fourth generation in 2010. Despite this, the Micra has struggled to make a significant impact in the region, but this is expected to change with its new offering at the Paris Motor Show in September.
New Design of the 2017 Nissan Micra
The 2017 Nissan Micra is built on a compact hatchback platform shared with Renault. This change is welcome, considering that the current model's design has remained unchanged for over 13 years. The exterior design bears a strong resemblance to the Sway concept revealed in recent years at the Geneva Motor Show, featuring a bold front end and a rear inspired by the Juke.
Additional Information
Photos taken of the 2017 Nissan Micra indicate that it will be longer and wider than the current model, and the interior seems to follow the futuristic design language of the Sway.
Safety and Technology Features
While there is no information yet about the engine, it is likely that it will come equipped with a turbocharged engine. Additionally, some sources suggest that it may feature automatic braking along with a wide range of other safety features.
