My Experience with the 2018 Audi A8
Now that I have shared some background, it's time to discuss my experience during the global test drive of the 2018 Audi A8 in Valencia. The Audi A8 entered the competitive luxury sedan arena back in 1994 (now in its fourth generation), after Mercedes and BMW had already established a strong following with their S-Class and 7 Series vehicles.

Moreover, the A8 is the only luxury sports sedan that offers a complete connection to driving—a feature not found in its competitors—while maintaining the distinctive spirit of its predecessors and introducing many impressive technological features.
To be frank, when you think of an Audi A8 owner, you might picture someone younger than typical owners of the Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series, which also sets the A8 apart: its youthful spirit.
In-Car Technology
If there's one aspect to highlight in the new Audi A8, it would be its technological features. I understand that some of these tech specifications may not suit everyone, but they certainly differentiate it from other vehicles.
Inside the cabin, you'll notice Audi's unique touch is evident, alongside new technological specifications and ultra-high-definition screens that are particularly useful on sunny days in the Gulf.
Control Screen
Along the center console, you'll find two large touchscreens. The upper screen contains the main command menu, allowing control over nearly all functions, and, of course, it can be customized by rearranging icons, just like on your smartphone. One of the most striking features of this screen is its responsiveness when you touch it.
Since it is a touchscreen, you need to press the desired command accurately. You will feel a delightful vibration when you touch certain commands, accompanied by a clicking sound from the speakers.
Rear Passenger Comfort
In every luxury sedan, what you find in the front cabin is also present in the back. Sitting in the rear seats feels like being in a lounge where everything is at your fingertips. You can easily adjust the seats, especially those in front, and control all audio media.
Assistance Systems
Regarding assistance systems, the 2018 Audi A8 comes equipped with a parking assist system that utilizes sensors and cameras to identify obstacles around the vehicle. The car can automatically recognize an available parking space and park itself.
Audi Garage Pilot Parking System
If you want to exit the car and have it park itself, the Audi Garage Pilot Parking system makes this easy. The system connects your smartphone with the Audi app, allowing the link between the app and the car once you exit the vehicle.
