Nissan Middle East has officially launched the all-new 2020 Nissan Sunny at the Dubai International Motor Show, marking its debut in the region amidst a large gathering of car enthusiasts and industry experts.
Success of the Nissan Sunny
The Sunny model has been one of Nissan's bestsellers in the region. Since its official introduction in 1994, over 474,500 units have been sold in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries alone. It has consistently led this segment in the region, recording a 34% increase in sales for the 2018 fiscal year.
Statements from the Managing Director
In this context, Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, stated:
"The Nissan Sunny is one of our flagship models, and we are thrilled to introduce the all-new 2020 Nissan Sunny at the Dubai International Motor Show. We have heavily invested in this new model, which will attract a broader customer base, including younger drivers. The sleek design of the 2020 Nissan Sunny, along with its added technologies and impressive safety features, makes it the obvious choice in the B sedan category."
Design of the 2020 Nissan Sunny
The design of the Sunny is one of its key features that allows it to outperform its competitors. Nissan has reimagined the sedan with a new design that leaves a positive first impression and makes the driver proud to own this model. It boasts longer, wider, and lower exterior dimensions while maintaining spaciousness in the interior cabin.
Design Elements
Some notable elements of Nissan's striking design language, referred to as "Emotional Geometry," include:
- New V-motion grille
- Aerodynamically shaped front and rear lights
- Stylish C-pillar and flowing roofline
Interior Cabin
The interior of the new Sunny reinterprets the design of the previous generation, incorporating elements found in both the "Maxima" and "Altima" models, including a Gliding Wing instrument panel that adds a sense of spaciousness through the use of lightweight, flowing materials.
The symmetrical design enhances the feeling of closeness among passengers, while the horizontal engineering and open spaces, along with harmonious materials and colors, contribute to a high-quality interior ambiance.
2020 Nissan Sunny Variants
The new Sunny is available in three variants:
- S Variant (Manual or Xtronic transmission)
- SV Variant (Xtronic)
- Sporty SL Variant (Xtronic)
All variants are equipped with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 118 horsepower and 149 Nm of torque.
