The big daddy and the halo model of the trio, comprising of the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade has made its Middle East debut. Pushing the boundaries for a luxury SUV, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is bigger, better, and bolder than the outgoing model, ready to take over the reins from the current segment champion, the Lincoln Navigator.

When it comes to the design, the all-new model follows the brand’s design philosophy with vertical lighting elements in the front and back, but it is its presence that truly makes it stand out. The head-turning appeal is courtesy of bold lines and creases, along with 22-inch wheels that are part of the standard equipment set. To cater to a broader and younger audience, it is also the very first time that Cadillac has introduced a Sport trim on the Escalade, featuring a black mesh grille and black trim across the exterior.

The interior, which is thoroughly modern and refreshing, is heavily influenced by Cadillac’s Escala concept vehicle. The first-ever curved OLED display in the industry is the centerpiece of the interior; the result is a completely fresh, integrated cabin look that seamlessly blends technology with handcrafted details.
The 2021 Escalade is also the biggest Escalade ever. It offers more room for passengers and their cargo. A new architecture and new chassis technologies have brought about 40 percent more third-row legroom (34.9 inches / 886 mm) and a 68 percent increase in maximum cargo space behind the third row (25.5 cubic feet / 722 liters) in the standard-length model. For music lovers, the 2021 Escalade offers the Industry-first AKG audio technology, led by a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference system, along with Conversation Enhancement using microphones and AKG speakers for front- and rear-passenger communication. We would say it’s just as good as hearing your favorite musician perform live but perhaps even that wouldn’t do justice to the quality of audio reproduction. It is simply mind-blowing.
When it comes to the experience behind the wheel, that too has been improved, with the brand’s Magnetic Ride Control technology that continually “reads” the road and alters the damping rate of the shocks to reduce vertical body motion, body roll, and vibrations in the cabin. Power is provided by a 6.2-liter V8 (as standard) that produces 420 horsepower and is fitted with variable valve timing, stop/start technology, and Dynamic Fuel Management. The engine is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift control; and a trailering package is standard on all models.
