Shelby American enters the modern Mustang arena with the release of the new Super Snake 2024, built on the sixth-generation (S650) platform. Staying true to Shelby's traditions, the new Super Snake is designed to enhance both the performance and character of the core Mustang.
Powerful Engine Options
Buyers can choose between two engine options, both based on the 5.0-liter V8 from the Mustang's Coyote family. The first option delivers a standard horsepower of 480, as seen in the Mustang GT, while the second option adds a Whipple 3.0-liter supercharger, boosting power to over 830 horsepower.
Regardless of the engine selected, the Super Snake comes equipped with an upgraded suspension system, distinctive wheels, Borla exhaust, improved brakes, and a better cooling system. Transmission options include both manual and automatic, with the manual transmission featuring a short-throw shifter and a one-piece drive shaft.

Distinctive Exterior Design
To enhance performance and maintain its reputation, Shelby American has reduced the weight of the Super Snake using an aluminum hood and carbon fiber front fenders for an aggressive stance, along with a redesigned front bumper and new side skirts. The lightweight wheels contribute to a reduction of about 9 pounds from each corner of the car.
The choice between coupe and convertible versions influences the rear wing design. The fastback model features a large rear wing, while the convertible comes with a ducktail spoiler.
Interior Updates and New Features
Inside, the changes are subtle, with Shelby badges replacing the standard Ford or Mustang emblems. Additionally, Super Snake models feature a distinctive Shelby shifter with a manual transmission.
