Aston Martin has officially revealed the Vanquish 2025. The British marque has returned to its classic V12 roots by reviving the iconic Vanquish nameplate after six years.

A Nod to Performance

The heart of the Vanquish 2025 is an 824-horsepower, 6.5-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, paired with an all-wheel-drive system. This means that the Vanquish can rub shoulders with big boys like the Ferrari 12Cilindri and take its place as the most powerful production car Aston Martin has ever produced. The new lightweight platform has also been designed to maximize driving dynamics, offering better agility and stability.

Pushing Boundaries with a New Platform

The Vanquish isn’t just a refresh of an old model. Built on a completely new platform, it is designed to offer a stiffer and lighter structure, translating into superior handling and performance.

The platform is shared with the Valkyrie hypercar and Valhalla, both designed for extreme performance, ensuring the Vanquish is more than just a grand tourer. With its aerodynamic enhancements and structural rigidity, the new platform positions the Vanquish as a true competitor in both comfort and performance.

Exterior: Vantage or Vanquish?

Here lies the crux of the discussion. The Vanquish's exterior design is… similar to say the least. At first glance, the car closely resembles the Vantage, especially from the front. The sleek and aggressive fascia, while undeniably beautiful, lacks the unique distinction that previous Vanquish models boasted. The rear design offers some differentiation, but it’s minimal.

For those who remember the previous Vanquish, especially in its iconic light blue shade, the new model seems to fall short in terms of visual identity. The older Vanquish stood out with its distinct elegance, making it one of Aston Martin's most admired designs.

I loved the previous Vanquish. This new iteration, while bold and modern, feels more like a Vantage sibling rather than a true successor to the Vanquish legacy.

An Interior of Luxury and Innovation

The Vanquish’s interior looks similar to the one found in the DB12. The cabin is an opulent blend of premium materials, advanced technology, and driver-focused features. Expect high-quality leather upholstery, a new center console filled with physical controls (yes, physical controls, we like!), and a bespoke infotainment system.

Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer, Roberto Fedeli said: “It was inconceivable that a new Aston Martin flagship should be powered by anything other than a state-of-the-art V12. To this end our engineering team completely reworked our existing 5.2-litre Twin-Turbo engine from block casting to cylinder heads.”

“With ambitious targets for gains in power and torque, plus equally tough goals for improvements in driveability, efficiency and global emissions compliance, the result is a modern masterpiece.”

Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, Simon Newton, commented: “Vanquish brings another dimension to the revitalised Aston Martin range. The new V12 engine is a larger-than-life character, with immense torque from just above idle combined with a truly ferocious top-end. It really is an extraordinary engine.”

“This sense of boundless propulsion had to be matched by an equal level of control and finesse; something we have achieved by further exploring the tremendous scope of the new Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, e-diff and latest generation electronics. We’ve also worked closely with Pirelli, developing a bespoke tyre tailored specifically to Vanquish.”
