Official Statement
Carsten Bender, Managing Director of Audi Middle East, stated, “We are delighted to introduce the new RS Q3 Sportback to our markets. The modern crossover coupe SUV segment is witnessing significant demand, and we are confident that this model will impress customers with its outstanding performance, striking design, and competitive pricing.”
Sporty Appearance: Exterior Design
The new Audi RS Q3 Sportback embodies power and extraordinary performance, distinguished by design elements that highlight its unique character. The three-dimensional Singleframe grille, featuring a gloss black honeycomb pattern, accentuates the coupe’s athletic nature. Compared to the standard Q3 Sportback, the grille sits lower and is seamlessly integrated into a specially designed RS bumper, complete with large side air inlets. Above the Singleframe grille, flat slits emphasize the authentic RS identity.
At the rear, the vehicle’s sporty credentials are on full display. The low-set rear window and gloss black roof-edge spoiler, along with the RS-specific diffuser, emphasize the SUV’s broad stance and dynamic nature. The elegantly sloping roofline flows over flat, robust rear pillars, reinforcing the powerful impression. For the first time, the latest generation RS Q3 Sportback features a dual exhaust system with large oval tailpipes on both sides. The exhaust is mounted within the RS-specific rear bumper, which includes a diffuser and horizontal blades.
The high-performance compact SUV comes standard with LED headlights. For those seeking an even more distinctive look, Audi offers optional RS Matrix LED headlights with darkened surrounds.
Performance: The Engine
The new RS Q3 Sportback is powered by a robust 2.5-liter, five-cylinder TFSI engine, famed for its multiple awards. This powerhouse delivers up to 294 kW (400 hp), representing a 17% increase in output, thanks to its 2,480 cc displacement. Maximum torque reaches 480 Nm (354 lb-ft), available between 1,950 and 5,850 rpm. The RS Q3 Sportback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in just 4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155.3 mph), but can be optionally increased to 280 km/h (174 mph).
The engine’s unique character is further enhanced by a special firing order (1-2-4-5-3) and its odd cylinder count, producing a signature exhaust note. The standard dual exhaust system amplifies this distinctive five-cylinder sound, while the optional RS sports exhaust system delivers an even more powerful auditory experience. Notably, this five-cylinder engine has earned the “International Engine of the Year” award nine years in a row.
Power from the five-cylinder engine is transmitted through a seven-speed S tronic transmission to Audi’s renowned quattro permanent all-wheel drive system—both standard features. Additionally, the torque control system ensures confident, comfortable handling in all driving conditions.
